CHIVERTON LODGE
Bed and Breakfast in Lelant, Cornwall, Chiverton Lodge
Chiverton Lodge, run and owned by Trevor a Gill Smith, provides particularly comfortable and exclusive holiday accommodation for discerning guests.
We are perfectly situated for all bird watchers next to Lelant water, part of the Hayle Estuary, the most south-westerly estuary in Great Britain and one of the most important RSPB nature reserves in the country for migrant and wintering birds. Here you will find open mud flats, narrow creeks, areas of saltmarsh, lagoons, islands and miles of beautiful sandy beaches. You could spend time finding your way around these habitats and enjoy the reserve and its wildlife.
Close by is the St Ives branch line, one of the most picturesque little train journeys of Europe. There is no finer way of approaching west Cornwall's famous holiday resort of St Ives, the glorious beaches of Carbis Bay and Porthminster and the charming village of Lelant on the Hayle Estuary. The branch line, through its junction with the main line at St Erth, also provides a stress free connection between St Ives and Penzance.
St Ives has become a Mediterranean style resort with several restaurants offering qAl Frescoq eating on patios, overlooking the beach. You will also find a choice of some of the best seafood restaurants in the south west.
There are many art galleries to be found, primarily the world famous Tate Gallery with its restaurant overlooking Porthmeor beach and the Barbara Hepworth museum.
Why not use Chiverton Lodge as a base in which to discover Cornwall. You can visit St Michael's Mount, Penzance, the fishing port of Newlyn, Land's End, Mousehole, the Minack Theat
There are just two guest rooms made up with high quality linen, both having a high standard of decor, one with a double bed and one twin which has high quality bunk beds. The rooms are separate from the main house and share a private bathroom.
Both rooms have colour television and there is tea/coffee making facilities in the double room, making them ideal for families with two children.
Steeped in legend and myth and enjoying a wonderfully mild climate, both winter and summer, Cornwall is the ideal holiday venue and St Ives is perfectly placed to enjoy the best Cornwall can offer.
