Apartment in Dawlish, Devon, 2 Great Cliff
Dawlish Water or The Brook almost cuts the town two and is populated by the famous black swan plus the Egyptian and Chinese goose and various species of duck including whistling duck and the paintbox-coloured mandarin duck. Olde English tea shops are conveniently placed alongside The Brook or in the backstreets and you can lunch on The Lawns or enjoy a giant Devon ice-cream or home made cake.
Restaurants suit most tastes and the shops range from small independents to some national chains and a supermarket. The station is at the foot of The Lawns on the sea front with frequent trains to Plymouth, Penzance and Exeter, the latter serving most UK stations. Buses run to Teignmouth, Newton Abbot, Shaldon, Torquay, Starcross and Exeter. Why bother with the car?
Dawlish has a wide stretch of sandy beach and Dawlish Warren, within walking distance along the coast path, is rated as one of the UK's top five beaches by Encams (Keep Britain Tidy). The Warren is an internationally recognised nature reserve with a resident golf club.
Great Cliff apartments are a one-minute level walk from the town centre along the sea front, separated only from the beach and sea by Brunel's historic Great Western Railway which runs along the coastline. A secluded beach lies just across the railway bridge to the east, and to the west are wide, sweeping views across the bay to Exmouth.
The apartment has an allocated parking space to the front of the building and is on the ground floor. There is full wheelchair access from the rear entrance.
With such a central location, this is the perfect apartment for anyone who wants beach, a small but lively town, and country walks.

The extending dining table seats six in comfort on padded chairs.
