Glebe House Cottages form a beautiful collection of early 19th Century listed buildings in an idyllic and unspoiled countryside setting. With Bude’s award winning beaches and the sweeping North Cornwall coast within 10 minutes, plus the Ruby Country’s walking, cycling, horse riding and fishing on the doorstep, Glebe House is the perfect location for couples and families alike.
The cottages are set in 5 acres of formal gardens and established woodland where children can explore and adults can find their own quiet spot. On site there is also a children’s play area, a laundry room, a games room, evening bar (by arrangement) and beach toys available for guests.
The cottages each have their own character and detail with exposed stone walls and wooden rafters. Coach House has an open plan living/dining/kitchen area and a bedroom with bunk beds upstairs, with an en-suite double bedroom and a twin bedroom on the ground floor.
Glebe House cottages are also recommended for larger parties where cottages can be booked together.
Each cottage has been upgraded with a dishwasher, T.V. with Freeview, DVD player and a DAB hi-fi system (including an mp3 player input).
The owner's private house offers a large games room in the cellar for all to enjoy with table tennis, billiards a Air Hockey, along with a lovely bar a restaurant (by arrangement).
In addition, warm fresh bread, croissants and pain au chocolat will be available to order as breakfast baskets each morning, and a range of freshly cooked meals and matching wines will be on offer so you can enjoy your days knowing that the evening’s catering for the family will be both easy and a treat!
LIVING
The open plan living area extends upward into the pitched roof, with exposed beams giving a great sense of space and light. During the day, the windows flood the room with light and at night there are lanterns mounted on the beams to provide atmospheric lighting in this superb space. Two leather sofas, a coffee table and TV furnish the room with creature comforts, and the fireplace, pictures and ornaments enhance the welcome of this room.
DINING
The kitchen is equipped with a electric double oven and hob, with a microwave oven discreetly hidden under the worktop. There is plenty of preparation area afforded by the worktops and a range of crockery, cutlery and glassware is provided. There is a fridge with ice-making compartment, kettle, toaster and coffee maker.
A large wooden dining table and six chairs give seating for meal times along with two bar-stools which can be used at the kitchen worktops.
SLEEPING
A double bed is central to the master bedroom, cabinets stand on each side with individual lamps, and a curtain and valance above the bed make for an inviting room. There is a wardrobe and a chest of drawers to give plenty of storage, and the painted brick wall adds extra character. The master bedrooms en-suite provides a shower cubicle with electric shower, washbasin and WC.
The second bedroom has two single beds, each with bedside units and lamps. There is a chair, wardrobe and small cupboard.
Off the living area is the third bedroom. This room has bunk beds, and a chest of drawers and wardrobe for storage. A feature octagonal window gives plenty of light and a there is also a chair and bedside lamp.
The part-tiled bathroom has a bath with a shower over, wash basin and WC. Other features are a mirror, towel rail and shaver socket.
