The bungalow is semi-detached and has been sited to obtain maximum privacy, with a grassed area in front, bordered by mature trees.The style and finish of the bungalow is similar to the 'Stowe' bungalows in the Park.

The bungalow is fully furnished and equipped with refrigerator, electric cooker, hot and cold water and main drainage.

It is finished to a high standard with microwave oven, electric shower over bath, television and DVD player. Wall-mounted electric heaters are fitted in all rooms. Duvet covers and pillow cases are provided for the main beds and are freshly laundered for you each week.

The bungalow has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the second with twin divan beds. The bed settee in the lounge can accommodate a further two.

A full inventory will be sent before you go. There is a launderette on site.

Care has been taken with landscaping within Penstowe Park and special areas have been set aside for parking. This feature adds a measure of safety for children at play, while allowing easy access to the bungalow. The footpaths and driveways are lit at night.

A special feature of Penstowe is the Sports and Leisure Club, located in the Manor House. Temporary membership is available at p50 per week to cover up to 4 members staying in your bungalow. An application form will be sent to you when you make your booking with us.

For your enjoyment, there are the comfortable bar, restaurant and lounges in the oak-panelled rooms of Penstowe Manor.

Close to the Manor is the former Stable Block. It contains the Stable Bar, shop, games room, the outdoor heated swimming pool and the paddling pool.

Special entertainment is available for children throughout the season.

Kilkhampton village is full of Cornish character and only a few minutes' walk from the bungalow. There you will find the Post Office, a couple of pubs and other useful shops, including various food stores.

Kilkhampton is 8 km from Bude on the A39. It is adjacent to open countryside at the head of the lovely Coombe Valley.

The site is well located for those planning a touring holiday in Devon and Cornwall. Dartmoor, Exmoor, the Eden Project and all the Cornish and Devon resorts, including Tintagel and Clovelly, are within easy reach.

The nearest beach is Sandymouth, which is 3 km away. There are many other safe, clean sandy beaches and coves in the vicinity, which have received the prestigious Seaside Awards for clean sands, good management and high water quality from the EU.

The town of Bude offers a wide range of shopping facilities and several eating places. It has a leisure centre, an 18-hole golf course and two large sandy beaches.

The area offers excellent opportunities for golfing, horse-riding, fishing and, of course, surfing, for which Bude is internationally famous.

The whole coastline is environmentally protected.

Price Notes

Short breaks also available from 3 March to 19 May, excluding Easter, and in October - we offer 3 nights (Friday to Monday) or 4 nights (Monday to Friday). The rates are £65 (March - May) and £90 (October). Other periods by agreement - please ask for details.
The rates quoted for all dates do not include membership to Penstowe Sports & Leisure Club.
