This is an old mid-terraced miner’s cottage dating back to the 1800’s, now tastefully refurbished. Original stone fireplaces have been restored and care has been taken to retain the wood panelled walls and open beamed ceilings. The cosy rooms have all the character of the past combined with the comforts of the present.

Off-season you can snuggle up in the glow of a wood-burning stove and beyond the sitting-room is a dining room that opens into a modern split-level kitchen, attractively fitted with cream Shaker style units. Narrow stairs lead up to two very pretty bedrooms with distant views of the sea from the front.

Set back from a quiet road by a gated cottage garden, there is a patio and further lawned area to the rear. Ashton is well placed for coastal walks to the scenic Rinsey Head and the long stretch of sandy beach at Praa Sands or inland to Tregonning Hill.

A small Post Office/Store and the flower decked Lion a Lamb pub are close by. The fishing village of Porthleven is just two miles away. Parking can be found on the road outside the property.
