started life as a medieval linhay. A sympathetic conversion arranged on one level for easy
access with a courtyard to the front surrounded by summer flowers with seating and
barbeque. The open plan living space has clearly defined areas for cooking and dining, and
a traditional pot belly stove creates a lovely cosy atmosphere in winter months.

Surrounded by acres of green countryside with panoramic views stretching towards the sea
and beyond, Shippon Cottage is one of 5 cottages set on a thriving small holding just 5
miles west of the fishing village of Clovelly, famed for its whitewashed cottages and
cobbled streets. Converted from stone barns dating back to Medieval times, the cottages
are an ideal base for visitors seeking a 'get away' experience. Perfect for couples and
families, a play paddock will provide hours of fun with swings, climbing frame, sand pit,
and a variety of ball games; and children will delight in feeding the owner's animals
including sheep, ducks, chicken, cows and pigs. (Please note children are to be supervised
at all times on the play area and around the animals). A luxury shared hot tub and sauna
facility is available for use and is the perfect way in which to unwind and relax after a busy
day with the family.

ideally situated. A short walk will find the beaches and rock-pools of the local bay of Berry or
Blackpool where children of all ages will love exploring. A little further afield the beaches of
Sandymouth Bay, Welcombe Mouth, Bucks Cross and Widemouth Bay can be found. The
village of Hartland, which is within walking distance through ancient woods, offers a variety of
shops including a greengrocers, fish and chips shop, off licence/general store, craft shops,
pubs, vets, doctors and post office/newsagent.
