This year the National Maritime Museum is laying on a list of Christmas events for the whole family. The list of events in summary is as follows (some events cost extra).
Card making every day until the 16th December
Christmas Carvery - Turkey, Glazed Ham and seasonal veggies 3rd to 24th December
Muppet treasure Island, looking for hidden treasure 16th December
Meet Father Christmas in his Falmouth grotto and get a gift 22nd to 23rd December
Children get in free with a paying adult over the weekend of 22nd to 23rd December

A great event is being run again this year at the Bodmin and Wenford railway. You have the chance to go and meet Santa, on his steam train while he is getting ready for Christmas.
Saturdays and Sundays throughout December Santa will arrive from Lapland and relax in the delightful Cornish country side aboard the train. You can join him with your children for a 1 hour ride, enter Santas grotto and get a small present from him, while you adults get a mince pie and seasonal drink.

1st of December is the big day in Camborne with the switching on of the towns Christmas lights this 2007.
There will be late night shopping, Stalls and seasonal fun in the town on the 13th and 20th of December, so get ready and go to Camborne to get those last minute presents for Granddad!

Gather at Penzance for a lantern making workshop on 14, 15 and 16 of December at St Johns Hall, and a Festive Market on the 20, 21 and 22 at the Exchange Gallery, Princess Street.
The event is to celebrate the Montol Festival (Winter Solstice in Cornish) and the Lantern parade will walk the streets to music, meeting at the Old Lescudjack Hill Fort.

This event is becoming ever more popular. The enchanting setting, inside a rich structure steeped in tradition at Truro Cathedral requires early booking to avoid disappointment. The two popular events are the evenings of the 23rd and 24th December, and are limited to 900 per service.

Bob, from Pirate FM is there now with his count down to Christmas. Switching on the St Austell lights this year, with many of the local population out to help him with his task.
There will be late night shopping every Tuesday night for you to enjoy the festive spirit amongst many other shoppers looking for Christmas bargains.

The Polperro Festival is on its way 16th to 24th June 2007.
The festival is one of song and Dance around the village with Morris dancing, Choirs, Exhibitions of Art, and folk music to brighten the streets with sound and fun.
The Cornish Village of Polperro is a delightful Cornish fishing village with narrow streets and a Harbour. There a great coastal walks, Pub lic houses, Shops and places to eat.
